Playmation -MODOK

I've passed by Playmation figures dozens of times, admiring the sculpts but that's about it.They are more like statues and couldn't possibly blend in with my Marvel universe figures.Until i came across MODOK at an out of the way Wal Mart one day.Now this might work because MODOK  doesn't really need any articulation.He's pretty much just a talking torso that would be  displayed in the background with the rest of my Marvel Universe villains.I passed him up but recently stumbled across one on ebay selling for $ 5.00 ,free shipping.I pulled the trigger and I'm glad I did.

    I almost bought this one but the sculpt was just to cartoonie for me. I still have the old toy biz one that works pretty well.

    Really?I thought it was the other way around.I think this one has a sleeker ,more Marvel Universe look to it.

      he just kind of reminds me of those Disney Infinity things. He is cool looking but not the version of Modok I prefer.

    Yeah I too want the toybiz one again. I would have Ray paint him much better though.

    I like the Toybiz version but not enough to shell out 20 bucks for it.For 15 bucks less i got a decent stand in ;)

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
