Iron Man 2 - Iron Man Mark I

I've overlooked this figure plenty of times before  in past toy reviews but have a newfound respect for it now that I have it in hand.


This truly is a little work of art!


The attention to detail on this movie version Mark 1 Iron Man armor is  impressive.All the visible   nuts ,bolts and working mechanisms on the suit  have been realistically  sculpted  into the armor.The weathering is  also executed perfectly .I also like the fact   that you can see parts of Stark's shirt and pants underneath his armored arm/leg plates. A removable helmet would have been an amazing touch.
 The downfall on some of these more heavily armored Iron Man figures is their limited movement .You can still get them into a decent pose or two but they will be limited.In the film ,this particular version of Iron Man wasn't particularly  limber so I guess even with the limited mobility ,  you're getting movie accuracy.Easily a top 20 figure in my collection.

    the Iron Man 2 3 3/4" figures WERE great! I bought several!

    I think so too Fuji.The guns i don't have much of a problem with,although sometimes Hasbro has a tendency of overdoing it with them.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
