IDW Revolution

I think the last time I bought a comic book ,a contemporary comic book with some sort of relevancy,Ronald Reagan  was president.I came close to picking up the new Secret Wars series that released in 2015.Oh ,and the new DC 52 stuff ,too.But I never pulled the trigger on either.I had been out of the loop for so long.Couple that with the 4 dollar price tag per comic and the only thing they got out of me was a disinterested "Nah,I'll pass." Now,recently I had been hearing talk about a merger of popular 80's toy franchises ,coming together for a big screen debut.MASK,G.I. Joe ,Transformers,Micronauts, ROM and I believe Visionaries made the cut as well.This literally blew the drawers off  of me!This Is something I have been wanting to happen since I began collecting action figures.In fact one of the reasons why I started to collect 3 3/4 was because so many different lines/characters were available ,and I would be able to mix and match my figures like never before!I have always wanted to see G.I. Joe and Transformers together on the big screen.As far as the movie goes,I'm not sure when they plan on releasing  or If they are going to  release It at all.Then I found out about IDW's Revolution.Hence,my very first set of comic books,delivered!

Nicely packaged and It only took a month for them to arrive.I still gave the seller positive feedback seeing as how everything arrived well wrapped and  In great shape .



Things got hectic quickly when browsing online for these books because of  all the different covers.I guess these are considered variants (please forgive my comic noobness).I didn't realize this at first though.I went for the coolest looking number 1 issue,imo,  (sub cover d) Scarlett and Optimus !All of the (sub cover -d's) have different pairings of action figures on the cover. 


Issue number 2  (sub cover b) has a bunch of different characters relevant to the comic apparently running towards something?The bathroom maybe?


Here's the rundown on what you can expect within the pages of  Revolution!I haven't read these yet ,but I'm excited.The cool thing Is that there are only 5 issues .I'm guessing there will be  spin offs  of all the participating franchises. I've got issue number 3 and 4 on the way  and I don't think 5 Is out yet.Will this give me the push I needed to start collecting again?Maybe so,maybe no.At the very least I got a post out of It ;)

    yay for trying new things! Iv been tempted by a few of the IDW books. and talk about being out of the loop , I just bought a PS4 and it is so completely confusing to me.

      I just got done with the first issue and it's pretty cool.It's great to see all the characters together in one book.PS4?So what,I got a ps1 ,thats only 3 away from yours lol!

    ha yeah I before this the newest thing I had was a dreamcast lol Im pretty interested in the Ghostbusters /X file / ninja turtles crossover IDW did but the price is still hard to swallow

    Yeah,I'm not sure If I'll grab anymore after this set of 5.ROM might be worth checking out.I just really want them to release figures based on the series.

    I want to read Revolution someday. I have an X-Box 360, but really want a Nes, Super Nes, and Game Boy as I have realized I am not a fan of today's games! lol

      So far It's been a decent read.Nothing monumental besides the fact that everyone's there.There are some deaths in the book,but I won't go on to avoid spoiling It for anyone.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

Recent Pick Up!

My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.
