Transformers Knock-Off - Air Raid

Another great little figure In the box of  toys Derek sent over recently,TF knock -off Air Raid!At first i thought this was one of those Quick Change Family Dollar joints,but after looking at the instructions,It seems that this Is indeed a legitimate,Transformers knock-off,If that makes any sense.It reminds me alot of the old Go-Bots figures,only lesser in the quality department.That's not to say that the figure is bad.In fact the only real knock against Air Raid would be his right arm,which Is a little loose.The rest of the joints hold up surprisingly well.He looks great In robot mode but shines In his alt mode.After messing around with him for a minute,It dawned on me that he was about the same scale as my Legends Class Optimus and Bumblebee.In fact,that's who I have chosen to display Air Raid with.I'm wondering If these are available locally?Enjoy the pics!










I've since removed his stickers to give a more legitimate look,and It really does look good!All I need to do now Is track down a small Autobot faction symbol decal,but even without It Air Raid looks great.

    Peeling those stickers off does a great job for his look. I found him in a 2 pack in a store called Tuesday Morning here in OH.

      I've heard of that place and I've driven by a couple times,never stopped In though.I'm gonna have to check It out sometime.Thanks for the heads up ;)

    Interesting stuff. I like the classification of a "legitimate knock-off". It sounds like it shouldn't work, but that makes total sense

    They're easily 3 of the best molds made at this size.

The other day ,my better half and I had the chance to traverse our local mall early In the day.I hate going to malls at peak hours or on the weekends.The crowds are just too damn cool for me.Long story short,our mall now has a toy store! I couldn't believe my eyes.From a far It looked like It was going to be some artsy fartsy place with educational toys ,wooden blocks and model kits,but no!This place had pretty much everything collectors go for nowadays.The name of the store Is "Go!,Toys and Games" and I can honestly say that I've never heard of It before.Everything was a dollar or two extra ,but that's not too bad considering how ridiculously expensive modern toys are In hobby and toy shops these days.I really hope this place sticks around. There Is a nice mix of everything.Marvel Legends,Star Wars  to blind bags to Funko figs.On top of that there are tons of board games   and books. WTF? Yes! 3 3/4 Marvel Legends!!!!!Not alot thou

A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.

Pop Culture League Assignment - Shelfie

I remember The League of Extraordinary Bloggers back In the day, never partook In any of the festivities, though. This time around, especially with state of  the blogosphere , I feel I need to participate a little more to see If we can breathe life back into toy blogging! So , a big thank you to Brian over at Cool and Collected  for  bringing the League back. Here's my  introductory league assignment post. Very simple ,snap a pic of two of your very favorite shelves. I chose the two shelves hat display all of my vintage . It only recently wrapped around to the bottom shelf with the addition of  a couple of Swamp Thing figures I received from Brother Midnight In a recent trade. I'm hoping to fill out the bottom shelf over the coarse of the winter.
