DC McFarlane Gold Label - Captain Atom

Image
My first Captain Atom read was back in the 80s. We had a corner store down the street from where I lived called Passaros and for some reason all they ever had were DC comics. That's where I picked up this issue along with a couple of Green Lanterns.  Ever since, I've been trying to find a Captain Atom figure resembling the one I grew up with and this McFarlane iteration comes damn close.

I hit up my local Dollar Tree with my daughter today to get a head start on my Halloween decorations 🤪

Toy Haul!

Just a few things to keep me occupied this long, labor day weekend. I haven't really recovered from the big sell-off of most of my 3.75 Star Wars figures. These 6" figures should help me rebound nicely!  Stay tuned for loose pics!

Marvel Epic Heroes '97 X - Men - Wolverine

As much as I liked Rogue from this Epic Heroes line of X -Men figures,  Wolverine is kind of a dud for me. I'm thinking it's probably because I've had so many Marvel Universe Wolvies to compare this one to and virtually no Jim Lee styled Rouges. It's an o.k. figure but the head seems a little truncated on the torso. What do you guys think?

Marvel Epic Heroes '97 X - Men - Rogue

I did something today I rarely ever do. I had the day off and my daughter needed a few things from the store so that meant I was gonna have to go to Target. Most of the time I just wait for her in the parking lot but today I decided to browse the boujee Target toy aisles. Good thing because I was able to find these Epic Heroes X - Men figures that I've been hearing so much about. Let's take a look at Rogue.  I'm excited about this product. Not quite Marvel Universe but solid enough to fill that 3.75" void. Next we'll take a look at Wolvie and Cyclops! Stay tuned!

Recent Pick Ups!

Finally, some action figures in the toy aisle I can justify spending a little cash on.  Seems like more and more Classified is making its  way into my local Wal Mart and these 6 inch 40th Ann. Star Wars figures are just what the doctor ordered since I sold off all of my 3.75 inch figs a while back.

Marvel Minimates - Tigra/ Classic Falcon w/ Redwing

I can't get enough of these. The assortment and sheer volume of figures to collect at a decent price is probably why.
