My last "Merry Christmas To Me" post was going to be of Marvel Legends Spider-Man animated cartoon series figure that I thought I was getting a great deal on. It turns out the figure was a bootleg. $30 down the drain and a fake Spider Man figure in the trash. I didn't even bother trying to get a refund from the seller. I'll chalk it up to a loss and keep it moving. So today I figured I'd  treat myself to something dope in the toy aisles at my local Walmart and found this!  I'm not sure if this is a reissue or what but It was the last one on the pegs and so I grabbed it. Now I can't get that damned theme song out of my head.

Merry Christmas To Me Pt. 3

After watching several YouTube reviews of Super 7's line of cartoon themed GIJoe figures, I decided to give them shot and I'm glad I did. This figure came in a character specific box. I think that's how they ship directly from Super 7 because I've seen them sans box on the pegs at Walmart.  The box inside is also bagged for added security and protection. Once you get this out of the bag you'll notice that there is yet another protective sleeve that slides off the actual figure packaging.  One thing I noticed after getting Snake Eyes out of the packaging is that the plastic used isn't nearly as hefty/heavy as Hasbro's Classified. I also spotted a little bit of dried glue on the head sculpt which seems to be a constant with this particular figure. That  said, this is a beautiful and faithful cartoon representation of one  my all time favorites!  I'm not crazy about extra hands with...

Merry Christmas To Me Pt. 2

It's no surprise to most who read my blog that Daredevil and Wolverine are atop my favorite 5 comic book characters list. Both are depicted on Daredevil issue # 249! This has been on my ebay watch list for some time now and I figured it was time to pull the trigger on it. It's not pricey or anything. For me, the value here lies in the nostalgic factor. One more for the old comic book rack!

Merry Christmas To Me Pt.1

I didn't really get myself much this Xmas, spending most of my bonus on my daughter,  family and friends. I'm ok with that. They all deserve it and much more. I did, however,  pick up a couple of things that I'll be going over these next couple of days and into the New Years break. My first pick up was Marvel's Midnight Suns! I'm not as big a gamer as I used to be but I find that being able to purchase ,download and play a game from the comfort of my couch every now and again is a great way to unwind. Especially during an extended holiday break. These days, Marvel themed video games are hard to come by. Most of what's out there now is of the button mashing variety. Been there, done that. Midnight Sun's is NOT that. The game has more of a D&D/RPG/ feel to it and the story, from what I've played so far, is pretty damn good. The cut scenes draw you in and make it seem like your watching a movie. You are the main character. A fully customizab...

Just a quick Wednesday morning post to get the day started. A nice box of 1988 Donruss baseball cards to rip, a couple of 1988 Topps Rack Packs, two more Joe Minimates and Marvel Legends X-Men 97 Wolverine just about sums up my October pick ups.

A GI Joe Post That's Not Classified

As much as I love the Classified line of Joe figures, I feel like there's other Joe stuff out there that deserve a little bit of that spotlight.   Pictured are two custom cardback figure protectors and four Diamond Select 💎  GI Joe figures.   I'd been looking for a way to protect my stashed 3.75  o-ring Joe's when I came across these online. I picked up William Perry's and Snake Eyes protectors and will be adding more as they are made available.   These are unpunched, clean and professional looking cardbacks that feature vintage artwork  on the front and file card on the back.  Diamond Select just doesn't get the props they deserve in my opinion. As much as I dig  their Marvel Minimates line, these Joe Minimates are equally cool! I'm not even sure I want to open these guys up. I mean I want to, but would hate to.  ...
