2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

I usually don't do bootleg action figures,  especially after my bad Spiderman Legends experience. That guy ultimately ended up in the trash. I took the chance on this CT Toys Wolverine figure on the strength of YouTube and positive eBay reviews. Glad I did!  CT Toys ( MAFEX) hits different. The character specific colored box art and design are displayed prominently on all sides of the packaging and has the look and feel of an oversized NES video game. If that makes any sense. The overall presentation screams 80's Marc Silvestri. You get a lot here. Three sets of hands ( including attached set) , two head sculpts, hanging removed cowl and a display stand. It's pretty insane. Also,You won't have to worry about bruised fingertips or adversely bending your action figure when extracting.Wolverine and contents can be removed and replaced easily due to the loose fitting plastic figure and accessory...

I took a chance on this CT Toys ( MAFEX bootleg) Wolverine figure. Was it worth it? Stay tuned! 

It's been a hectic couple of weeks. Work has been non-stop, although I am grateful for every minute of it. These days I barely have the time to sit back and write up a solid post about anything really. As a stay home dad, blogging used to feel like a therapeutic distraction. Working full time has filled that void and then some. Days off are spent splitting and making time for all of my passions -  making music/ gaming/ reading/ collecting/ blogging and most importantly my daughter. Blogging hasn't been very high on the priority list. I should do something about that 🤔  Anyways,  here's what I've been skimming through these past couple of weeks.  This is actually issue #1 of an 8 issue series that Matt (Toy Box) sent me a little while back. I haven't gotten through it all but love what I've read so far. It's no surprise to most who read my blog that Daredevil and Wolverine are atop my favorite 5 comic book characters list. Both are depicted on Daredevil issue # 249! This has been on my ebay watch list for some time now and I figured it was time to pull the trigger on it. It's not pricey or anything. For me, the value here lies in the nostalgic factor. One more for the old comic book rack! 

As much as I liked Rogue from this Epic Heroes line of X -Men figures,  Wolverine is kind of a dud for me. I'm thinking it's probably because I've had so many Marvel Universe Wolvies to compare this one to and virtually no Jim Lee styled Rouges. It's an o.k. figure but the head seems a little truncated on the torso. What do you guys think? 

Wolverine was a must have for me in this extensive line of Marvel Minimates figures. While I'm not that excited about the Brood figure, I still like it and remember reading the story arc back in the day.
