2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

This last week ,Orniphus and I had agreed on a two for two trade.Basically,I would send him a 25th Ann. Commando Snake Eyes and a 25th Ann. Breaker In exchange for a TF's Masher Starscream and another figure that was on my want list ,BIG TIME,which will remain nameless until further notice ;) I told him I'd throw In some extras and he said he'd do the same.I just didn't expect the extras to be so damn cool!I'll be going over those two mystery figures soon enough ,but first ,lets check out Starscream from the Mashers line of Transformers figures. You know,the fact that you can't transform these guys doesn't bug me one bit.They look so damn cool In their robot modes that It's become a moot point,really. Finally,a Transformers figure that I can have fun with!I  don't know about you but I really don't have the time to sit there and follow 20 steps to get my Optimus Prime into truck mode and back and then back into truck mode again,and then ba...

Transformers Mashers have grown on me thanks to Orniphus over at Coolandunusual. Immediately after selling off a couple of figures on eBay I went out and picked up a Megatron and Soundwave Masher,and I love them both!They're fun action figures.Not all of the TF Mashers are G1 accurate, but  Optimus (he's next on my list),Megatron and Soundwave certainly are.Below we have the busy Masher box and Soundwave In his plastic tray. My one gripe,and it's a pretty big one is the complete omission of  a  Decepticon symbol.Not cool,man,not cool :( Soundwave comes with lots of cool weapons and an extra arm that belongs to Sideswipe. Overall,a great figure and rendition of  one of the most iconic characters In  Transformers  universe.

Like I stated In my last post,I'm not a big fan of the whole masher movement,but I think the gimmick makes most sense with the Transformers.While not all the figures in the Transformers Mashers line are aesthetically pleasing ,some are.Particularly the ones In the deluxe sets.Those come with alot of  extra chowder to attach to your figure to give them an overall better appearance.Hence the reason why I snagged up Megatron. I love the bright packaging.It has a comic book feel to It with speech bubbles and dialouge boxes throughout the front and back.                                     Nothing brings me back like popping an action figure out of his plastic tray.  Megatron Masher looks good on his own,sans weapons or attachments.Hasbro does a great job of capturing his G1 appearance. "I don't need no stinkin' Mashers" was my reaction to the Marvel Mashers craze that spread throughout the toy collecting community like the plague!I would see them everywhere,on store shelves and discount stores like 5 Below ,and every time It was the same reaction - "I don't need no stinkin' Mashers".I liked the character variation and their bright and shiny appearance,but I wasn't feeling the interchangeability of  the body parts.And even then, I might  have lived with that ,had It not been for all those ports and holes on their arms and legs.I know It's for the kids,but I'm no kid.And even as a kid I  would have passed on Marvel Mashers because super heroes don't have ports or interchangeable parts.Then the Star Wars Mashers line descended upon us from a "galaxy ,far ,far, away" - see what I did there ;) Again, the sculpts were kick ass and the paint poppin' but the swap-able limb gimmick   killed It for me.Then one d...

I've actually had this Megatron Mash Up lying around for about a week or so.I haven't  had  a chance to play with any of the new Transformers I've recently acquired  , but hopefully soon I'll be able to get to them and write up some posts.I found this Megatron at a local Big Lots on sale for about 8 bucks with a rewards card discount.Considering the  20 dollar eBay price tag,I was lucky to find him for such a good price in the wild.  

After making a couple of eBay sales ,I was able to snag up some Transformers goodness with some of the profits.The TF Masher is all Orniphus's fault,you'll see why  in one of my upcoming posts.The Legends class TF's have been on my radar for a while now and have been on sale at my local Dollar General,so I had to pick them up before they disappeared.I'll do more in-depth post on all these guys once I get done looking at everything Orniphus sent me.
