MOTU Movie CORE Figures Amazon Exclusive 4 Pack Skeletor

Image
Core Skeletor is a pretty cool figure. Right up there with Goat Man. Skeletor features some nice detailing and just enough articulation to please both the casual and hard core action figure collector.  MOTU Core Skeletors can be found as a single carded figure at most Walmart and Target department stores but only the Amazon 4 pack exclusive sports the soft goods cape.  I really like the head sculpt. I'm glad they didn't decide to fuse the hood together with cape as that would have hindered head movement.  So far, Skeletor is my favorite of the 3, edging out Goat Man and easily besting Man-at-Arms. Let's see where things stand after I take a look at He-Man. That post forthcoming.

Funny thing. Of the 4 figures you get in this box I thought Man-at-Arms was going to be my favorite and Goat Man my least favorite. So far it's the complete opposite. Man-at-Arms is pretty bland. I can't not see Leonard 6 when I look at this figure. The pistol looks kinda boring but it's cool that you can store it on the peg holster located on his right thigh.  Man-at-Arms isn't a horrible figure but he's not great either. Mezza- Mezza. This might be a situation where the figure grows on me after watching the movie. We'll see.

I caved and bought figures before watching the movie. Sue me. Hee-Hee! That said, this is the 4 pack Amazon exclusive. The box is pretty bland on the outside but makes up for it on the inside. Upon opening you get a cool graphic of He-Man, Skeletor, Man-at-arms and Got Milk Man...I mean Goat Man staring each other down.  Let's take a look at Goat Man first! The first thing that pops in my head when looking at Goat Man is Lucifer. I'm also getting strong Bib Fortuna vibes. Anybody who has followed my blog long enough knows how I feel about Bib Fortuna. Gives me the creeps. I like this figure, though. He's cool looking although I don't remember ever seeing him in the cartoons.  The articulation is decent on these CORE figures. I'm impressed. Goat Man is a little harder to stand because of his hooved feet. I was still able to play around with him long enough to get him into some pretty cool poses.  ...
