2 MINUTE TOY BREAK !

A while back I did a post about a Captain Atom figure I had acquired , but I'm not exactly sure what line It was from, right now.Anyways,I didn't like the figure that much but loved the character and hoped to one day add   an Infinite Heroes to my collection.That endeavor has finally come to fruition! Captain Atom Is one of my favorite DC characters next to Batman and Superman.I got hooked on his 1987 run of books,starting with the 1st edition annual. That issue featured a drag out brawl between Captain Atom and another character with similar powers created by the government,Major Force. I hope to one day recoup those issues as I'd like to familiarize myself better with both characters. 

So ,I picked up three fighting games for my PS3 ,Soulcalibur 4,Dead Or Alive 5 and Mortal Kombat. All were the debut releases of their respective franchise on the PS3.I know,I'm still gaming on a PS3 and will probably never get around to picking up a PS4 because frankly,the thrill is gone.I expected to get a little amped ,at least,when these three titles arrived,and I was.A little amped.I popped these games In over the weekend and found myself less than motivated to fight beyond two or three matches.Yes,the games look phenomenal.The game play Is great as well.But I'm starting to think my gaming days are behind me.I don't play out of excitement anymore.It's more so just  to kill time ,these days.And It sucks to know that your doing something just to kill time and not because you are actually enjoying the experience.At least I can blog about how my passion for gaming Is waning.Heck ,why not,I got a little time to kill ,anyways ;)

This is one of the first toys I can remember playing with as a kid.I had to be around 5 years old .Star Wars was In full swing at the time but I didn't need no stinking Star Wars figures ,(actually I hated on every kid who had official Star Wars toys)I had this beauty!Yeah,most kids wanted Star Wars at the time but Fisher Price filled that void for me.I actually had a beat up X Wing that I would have my Fisher Price astronaut commandeer.That said,the Alpha Interceptor was nothing to sneeze at. I loved how the pod would rotate and  detach from the base.It reminded me of the little ship that flew out of Mazinger Z' s head in the cartoons.It feels great having this thing In my hands again,after soooo many years. 1982 Fisher Price Alpha Interceptor 

I got a text from my sister the other day and It read exactly like this-  "Omg just went to a flea market on Lake Ave. and of all things,I leave there with something for you!" Two awesome Marvel canvas prints sporting vintage comic book covers!Pretty damn cool If you ask me!A very big thank you to my older sister who  ,for one reason or another,always finds the time to surprise me with something .She spoils the crap out of me and I will forever be indebted :)Love you!

1983 LJN D&D STRONGHEART

First thing's first.I got a new phone and I'm not really thrilled with the camera's capabilities.Even with the flash the pics look grainy.I may just go back to using my Coolpix but ,damn,my last phone was so much better and much more convenient.This top pic was taken without flash,the second with.Oh well.Anyways,yeah,I'm taking a break from Starting Lineup.Coming up for air ,you might say.For a while they were all I could think about collecting.They're cheap with such a wide  variety of players  to choose from,addiction Is almost inevitable.It's time for a break ,though.I thought about going after some of the NFL and NBA figs but that will have to wait ,too. I'm bookending my 90's Starting Lineup display with these two 1997 edition Bonds and Griffey,Jr. figures.  Here's my 90's display .I'll eventually take that Bonds out of the packaging.Counting the figures on my wall display,I have 50  In all.A nice even number to stop at.At some ...
